YAI, BRAND DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING STRATEGY INTERN

September 2019 - May 2020

For the entirety of my senior year in conjunction with FIT, I was privileged to act as a brand consultant and marketing strategist for an I/DD nonprofit organization called YAI. During my first semester with YAI, I led and collaborated with a team of 4 to execute a guerilla marketing strategy and media plan that would later be implemented to promote the organization’s summer program. Extensive market research was conducted to ensure all communication seamlessly aligned with the nonprofit's mission and needs of the consumer.

My second semester working with YAI focused heavily on brand development and the promotion of their 2020 fundraising events. I was tasked with strengthening their voice, personality, and values through pitching a creative rebrand consisting of a new logo, slogan, website and mission statement. Through the commitment of ample market research, I was able to concisely identify a niche for the brand to thrive in a crowded marketplace.

Other day-to-day responsibilities included pitching strategic influencer and brand partnerships, editing collateral and distributing to all retail partners, PR gifting, and media monitoring.

During my time at M+G, the company was preparing for the launch of 3 new products and it was my job to work alongside the trade marketing manager to pitch ideas for promotional events that were later implemented within our retailers. Another responsibility of mine was to redesign our shelving units in Nordstrom to properly display and draw attention to all of our new line extensions. Additionally, I was also responsible for the preparation of various trade shows, and pitched our products to investors in a B2B environment.

Marchesa, public relations intern + public relations coordinator

January 2018 - August 2018

At Marchesa, my primary responsibility was to ensure that all collateral posted through each social channel (Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest) aligned with our brand story and effectively conveyed our personality. I created content on a daily basis, whether I was on set helping direct a shoot, or in the atelier sharing a sneak peek of our newest collection. I pitched potential brand collaborations for our events and
